
Irina Galli is director, actress, teacher, choreographer and theatre operator.
She is trained in the realist acting with Alessandro Del Bianco and John Strasberg, by attending "International School of Dramatic creation", directed Kuniaki Ida (1992/1995) and "In the idea of a magical actor" courses directed by Mario Montagna, Teatro I - Milano (1989/1992), where she begins as actress (Walpurgis nights, 1991).
She has studied contemporary dance, since when she was a child in
Italy with Dorothea Hammer, Giorgio Zecchi and Elena Cerruto and in France
with Joel Petrus; she studies Middle Eastern dance and flamenco with
Sabina Todaro and traditional dance of Magrebh with El Hadi Cheriffa, dancer
at the National Ballet in Algeri.
She has also studied dance-theatre with Giovanni Cilluffo since 1995.
She studies Wejercold biomechanics with Philip Brehse (Living Theatre), she attends workshops with Mamadou Dioume (Peter Brook); Jorge Alonso, - on clown technique and Ellen Goldman, group dynamics.
She studies Modern Arts history of theatre and recreation first at University of Pavia and then of Parma.
Since 1995 she has been member of Teatro Cinque,
Milan, where she becomes theatre operator for childhood and youth by
directing 300 theatre workshops at schools, in Lombardy, under Alessandro Del
Bianco's guidance.
During this period Boccascena
project is built up and it gets recognitions and financing granted by
Cariplo Foundation - Bando
Educarte 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007.
Since 1999 she has been teaching body language to actors, dance-theatre and drama at Centre for actor's study (course for adults over 50 and attendances at actors school).
Since 2007 she has been directed Drama and Cinema School at CSA, Centre for actor's study.
