School of drama and cinema for actors

CSA acting school is based on a three level classes teaching (attendance: from 2 to 4 days a week, according to levels).
Our purpose is preparing actors to play in professional theater and cinema, through the principles of realist school (based on issues from Konstantin Stanislavskij' system and its evolution, made by Lee Strasberg, his son John, and Alessandro Del Bianco). Characters created under this method are alive, authentic, pulsing.

Offered study

Studying at CSA allows every student to stage circumstances and characters which are real, authentic, living.
In order to reach it, a long and intensive work is required.
The student must gradually become aware of his own attitudes, his interior world, his creative needs.
Each actor is stimulated in order to develop his own imagination, his own ceative will, his belie capability. This becomes possible thanks to the study of the "given circumstances" that define vital, psychological, sentimental conditions and relationship elements found in the play.
The aim of that is being able to live the character in a real way, here and now, on stage or on set.

The school is structured on a triennial cours.
Admission to the first year-course follows a preliminary interview.
Admission to the following annual courses takes place after a final exam.

In the course of the three yaer studying period, the students face the three great dramaturgy branches (comedy, drama, tragedy), contemporary dramaturgy texts and cinema acting.

Preparation section dedicated to cinema includes: film analysys lessons, with the use of a motion-picture camera.

The main attention is focused on handing down the principles to the students and giving the necessary instruments in order to face the actor work in a progressive autonomy. At the same time the personal training takes a proper shape towards theatre or cinema (during the third year).
